2020-12 December

Anyone else have The Grinch on repeat? No, just me?

I feel like most started decorating and celebrating Christmas a bit earlier this year (including myself- no shame). I'm usually one to wait until after Thanksgiving, but nope. Not this year! Well, hi! I don't do many 'personal blog posts', but I feel like it was a good time to as it's almost year end and I have some fun projects and recipes that I'd love to share. Gingerbread Men Cookies Not to brag, but people have been raving about how good these gingerbread cookies are after I gave them a little bag! I found this recipe in an old Martha Stewart baking cooking book I have and can't find it anywhere online. So here is a PDF from my book! I love how the simple white royal icing looks on these because I'll admit, decorating cookies is not my strong suit.

I had some fun with Rylan and Josh the other week making some clay tree ornaments that I hope will be on Christmas trees for years to come! Had to share how we made them because it really wasn't all that much work and I know I'm going to love looking at these when he's older. I'm tempted to make some more with hand prints for our own keeping 😊

Clay Thumbprint Tree Ornaments

Dried Orange Garlands

I love this touch of decor during the holidays. You can add cinnamon sticks + rosemary to your garlands for an extra pizzazz!

Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies Another recipe to try incase you haven't seen this recent posting! I don't think I've baked a better chocolate chip cookie...
